Privacy Policy
1. Summary
Nusi helps you keep track of promotional prices and reminds you before they end. It covers two things: this website demo and the Nusi mobile app.
- No accounts. You don't sign up, and we don't ask for your email or passwords.
- No analytics or ads. We don't use analytics, advertising or tracking tools.
- Your reminders stay on your device. On this website they are saved in your browser's local storage; in the app they are saved on your phone. We don't run a server that receives them.
- Addresses never go to our servers. When you look up an address on the website, it stays in your browser except for the two third-party services described below. To list providers, the page downloads one small public data file for your census tract; that request reveals only the tract (not your street address).
- You can delete everything at any time.
2. Address lookup on the website
If you use the address lookup on this website, your browser talks directly to two outside services. Neither request passes through a Nusi server, and we don't save or see the address.
- Photon (photon.komoot.io) — address suggestions. After you type 4 or more characters, the partial text you typed is sent from your browser to Photon to suggest matching US addresses. Photon is a free service run by Komoot that uses © OpenStreetMap contributors data. It is not run by us.
- U.S. Census Bureau geocoder (geocoding.geo.census.gov) — location codes. When you press Look up, the full address is sent from your browser to the Census Bureau's public geocoding service, which returns its state, county, ZIP code and census block.
Both services can see your IP address and your browser type, and may keep their own logs under their own privacy practices. You can ignore the suggestions and type the whole address yourself, but the Look up step always uses the Census Bureau.
Provider data files. Everything else happens in your browser. The Census Bureau's answer includes your census block, and the first 11 digits of it identify your census tract, a neighborhood-sized area. To show which providers serve you, the page downloads one small static file for that tract (plus a list of provider names) from this website's file hosting, which is currently Vercel and may later be a content delivery network such as Cloudflare. That request reveals your census tract and, like any web request, your IP address and browser type. It does not include your street address, and we don't combine it with anything else. The provider data comes from the FCC National Broadband Map, and your browser then picks out your block locally.
3. Information stored on your device
You choose what to enter. Depending on whether you use the website or the app, the following is stored only on your device:
- Services you track: provider name, category, plan name, promo and regular monthly prices, and promo end date.
- In the app: your ZIP code (optional), used to filter deals by area.
- In the app: negotiation results you log (date, outcome, prices or credits, and an optional short note).
- In the app: settings, such as whether reminders are on.
We never ask for, and have no place to enter, your provider passwords, PINs or account numbers. Please don't type them into notes. If a provider asks for them, give them only to the provider.
4. Reminders and notifications
On the website, the reminder feature creates a calendar (.ics) file with alerts 60, 30 and 7 days before your promo ends. Your own calendar app does the reminding. In the app, if you allow notifications, reminders are scheduled on your device at 60, 30 and 7 days before each promo ends. These are local notifications. No information is sent to us or to any push service. You can turn reminders off in the app or in your phone's settings.
5. What we collect or share
- We do not collect your personal information through accounts, forms or analytics, and we do not sell or share it.
- This site is hosted on Vercel. Like most web servers, the hosting service may log standard request details, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested, including the census-tract data file you download. We don't put your typed address in any request to our servers, so it does not appear in those logs.
- The website and app can link to other sites (for example a provider's website or the FCC National Broadband Map). Those sites have their own privacy practices, and your browser may share information with them when you open a link.
6. Deals shown
Deals are collected from public provider pages. Each shows the date it was last verified, and some are unverified demo data. Prices and availability change often, so always confirm with the provider. Deals are not confirmed to be available at your address.
The list of providers comes from the FCC National Broadband Map (provider availability as of 2025-12-31). Availability is reported by providers and may not be exact for your address. This product uses the FCC Data API but is not endorsed or certified by the FCC.
7. Not advice
Nusi provides tracking and general information. It is not financial, legal or tax advice, and we do not guarantee any savings. Nusi does not contact providers on your behalf.
8. Retention and deleting your data
- Website: delete saved reminders on the page, or clear this site's data in your browser settings.
- App: go to Settings → Delete all data, or uninstall the app.
Because we hold no copy of your reminders, we can't recover deleted data. We have no way to delete what Photon or the Census Bureau may have logged; see their own policies.
9. Security
Data is kept in your browser's storage or your device's app storage and protected by your own device's security, such as a passcode and device encryption. No method of storage is perfectly secure.
10. Children
Nusi is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
11. Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example California or the EU/UK), you may have rights to access, correct or delete your personal information. Because we don't collect or hold your data, there is generally nothing for us to provide or delete beyond what is on your own device, which you control directly. You can contact us at any time with questions.
12. Changes
We may update this policy and will post the new version on this page with a new effective date. If we add features that collect or share data, such as accounts, a server, or analytics, we will update this policy first.
